Light plays a huge role on John's eyes both in his gospel and in his letters. So much of how we view God plays into light and darkness. The major commandment that he talks about from God is love. So what is the theological relationship between light and love? It turns out that these two themes need one another in order to reveal God in His truest form and nature and that is how we see Jesus: love and light.
