While Jesus suffered his painful and humiliating death, it would have bee extremely difficult to think he really was from God, much less that He was the Great Deliverer of mankind. When you sentence someone to execution, your verdict is that they are unworthy. But God's view of Jesus was expressed clearly and powerfully when He raised Him from the dead.
