On the surface Mark 12:1-12 is about vineyards and fruit. But since it is a parable, we expect there to be a spiritual meaning. When he first told it, Jesus intended the religious leaders of the Jews to understand they were falling short of God's expectations. But what about us? What does God expect of us? Are we falling short too? Is it serious?
